About Me
I bring a unique blend of creativity, compassion, and directness to each session, allowing me to adapt and respond to your individual needs. By drawing from multiple perspectives and therapeutic approaches, I ensure that our work together is insightful and personalized to your journey. Whether you seek empathy, honest feedback, or a fresh perspective, I’m here to support you with a balanced approach that fosters growth and transformation.
Originally from California, I moved to New York City before settling in Tennessee 30 years ago. After a 10-year career in public relations, I returned to my true calling—helping people thrive. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Jose State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee, I’ve been fortunate to build a deeply fulfilling career in the field I’m most passionate about.
I’ve been married for 31 years and have two wonderful sons in their 20s. I find energy and peace in nature, art, and community, all of which inspire and ground me in my work. As a lifelong learner, I’m always seeking new ways to grow both personally and professionally. Before starting my solo practice, I worked with Alive Hospice and Vanderbilt Behavioral Health. Today, alongside my practice, I serve on the board of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute, where I’m dedicated to helping other therapists find connection and support in the community.
